President João Lourenço returns to Luanda
Luanda, ANGOLA, August 10 - Angolan head of State João Lourenço returned Friday to Luanda after a two-day visit to the northern Uige province where he chaired the 8th Ordinary Meeting of the Economic Commission of the Cabinet Council. ,
At Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" International Airport, the president was received by the Interior minister, Ângelo da Veiga Tavares, Luanda governor Adriano Mendes de Carvalho and president’s aids.
The Economic Commission session recommended measures to ensure the execution of the main social projects underway in the country, mainly the Public Investment Programme (PIP) 2018.
Under his visiting programme, João Lourenço held separate meetings with representatives from various groups of civil society to learn of the main pressing issues among population.
The president visited some infrastructure, with stress to the satellite city of Quilomosso.
