President arrives in Uige province
Uíge, ANGOLA, August 9 - Angolan head of State João Lourenço arrived Thursday in the capital of the northern Uige province to chair the 8th Ordinary Meeting of the Economic Commission of Cabinet Council, as part of a two-day visit to the region.

The president João Lourenço was received at the local "Manuel Quarta Punza" airport, by Governor Pinda Simão, official of Angolan Executive and other individuals.
The Economic Commission will assess, among other matters, a memorandum on the state of Public Investment Projects in the northern provinces of Uige, Malanje, Cuanza Norte and Zaire.
At the end of the meeting, the president will grant separate audiences to the governors of Cuanza Norte, Malanje and Zaire, José Maria Ferraz, Norberto dos Santos and José Joanes André, respectively.
João Lourenço will also receive representatives from groups of civil society in the Uíge province.
The Angolan head of State returns to Luanda on Friday.
