KEMP, Texas, Aug. 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Industrial lighting leader, Larson Electronics LLC, has released a Class I Divisions 1 and 2 Groups C D, Class II Divisions 1 and 2 Groups E, F and G, Class III rated rotary potentiometer for use as a voltage measurer, volume and radio controller, adjustable voltage divider or as a rheostat. This explosion proof device has 10k ohm resistance and is rated at 2 watts @ 30V DC.

The Larson Electronics EXP-PTM.10K-2W Explosion Proof Rotary Potentiometer is designed for use in Class I Division 1 & 2 Groups C & D, Class II Division 1 & 2 Groups E, F and G and Class III facilities. This unit features 10k ohm resistance and is rated 2 watts @ 30V DC. Constructed of copper-free aluminum, the variable resistor device can be used for voltage measurement, volume control, radio control, adjustable voltage divider or as a rheostat. The EXP-PTM.10K-2W can be easily wall mounted via integral mounting tabs at two corners of the housing. Two external mounting lugs provide simple and secure mounting to walls and flat surfaces.

The EXP-PTM.10K-2W is an explosion proof potentiometer suitable for use in hazardous locations where combustible dusts and particles may be present. This device has multiple uses as a manually adjustable variable resistor, as a 3-pin voltage divider, or a 2-pin rheostat. The device can also be used to measure potential of electric voltage or control components are various equipment in vehicle steering systems. This EXP-PTM.10K-2W is rated at 2 watts and operates on 30V DC. 10k ohm resistance is provided during use.

This explosion proof pontentiometer features superior performance and durability due to its copper-free cast aluminum construction. Easily wall mounted via integral mounting tabs, this unit takes up minimal space in the workplace. The EXP-PTM.10K-2W comes with ½” or ¾” NPT tapped hubs with a choice of feed-thru or dead-end configuration.
