More Than 800 Attend Conference, held July 16-18, 2018 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas

SOUTH WINDSOR, July 19, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ticket Summit, the leading conference and trade show for ticketing and live entertainment professionals, held its 2018 conference last week at Caesars Palace. The event drew more than 800 attendees from across the ticketing industry to network, learn, and do business. The conference was presented by TicketNetwork and DTI Management and the featured sponsor was Broker Genius.

Highlights of the conference included countless networking opportunities, such as the Networking Cocktail Party, presented by Event Tickets Center, and the Closing Gala at OMNIA. The conference featured two keynote panels, Worldwide Trends in Live Events and The Ticketing Industry. Keynote panelists included leadership from AXS, DTI Management, Elevate Sports Ventures, Legends, SeatGeek, StubHub, Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster Resale, and TicketNetwork.

Panels covered a variety of topics, such as marketing, managing inventory, managing a brokerage, legislative issues, college sports, and more. Broker Genius sponsored a panel titled The Future of the Secondary Market: A Broker’s Perspective and Ticketmaster Resale led a panel on their products.

The popular Workshops for Entrepreneurs returned for a second year in a row. The workshops, which are intended to provide small business owners with the skills they need to run their business, covered topics such as insurance, legal concerns, data analytics, mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, and leadership. Mike Lorenc, Head of Industry—Ticketing, Sports & Live Events at Google discussed The Google Approach to Ticketing, highlighting the search giant’s new ticketing policies. The Coalition for Ticket Fairness also held a forum about their initiatives.
