CPLP Media urged to launch common data base
ANGOLA, July 15 -
Ilha do Sal (Cabo Verde) - The Portuguese Speaking Community Countries (CPLP) Media Houses have decided to launch a content base to avoid distorted information about the member States.

The decision was adopted at a meeting of the CEOs of CPLP Media Outlets, held on Friday in Ilha do Sal, Cabo Verde.
To attend the event, Angola was represented by a delegation led Media minister João Melo.
CEOs of Angola News Agency (Angop) Josué Isaías, News Paper (Edições Novembro) Víctor Silva, National Radio (RNA) Marcos Quintino Lopes, and Public Television (TPA) Francisco Mendes, also integrated the delegation.
According to the chairperson of board of Radio and Television of Cabo Verde, Sara Pires, the content base is tasked with providing reliable data on the reality of each state.
Sara Pires called on CPLP countries to produce and make available reliable data about their reality, to avoid relaying distorted news from Western Media.
