Luanda, ANGOLA, July 1 - The 43rd Plenary Session of the Southern Africa development Parliamentary Forum (SADC PF) which closed on Friday in Angola's capital, Luanda, created solid basis for the transformation of this institution into a regional parliament.,

Although the issue is yet conclusive, the SADC PF chairperson, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, said the members of the Forum worked together to achieve this common goal.

 

"We are hopeful that we can achieve the common goal, but we still have a lot of work to do with governments and Heads of State of our region to whom we have to convince the merit of our proposals for the transformation and convenience of being the only region that does not have a regional parliament, “said the Angolan diplomat.
