Vice-President highlights Constitutional Court action
Luanda, ANGOLA, June 26 - The vice president of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, highlighted on Monday the reforms introduced in the National Justice System, with the creation of the Constitutional Court in 2008.,
According to Bornito de Sousa, who was speaking at the opening seminar on the 10th anniversary of the Constitutional Court, the reforms allowed the National Justice System to become a factor for citizenship promotion, peace, social cohesion and economic development.
"The creation of the Constitutional Court culminated in the organization of the Angolan Judicial System", which is only awaiting for the existence of the Courts of Appeal, a situation that should be overcome in the short term.
Among the most outstanding moments of the institution created at 25 June 2008, the official highlighted the ratification of the 2010 Constitution and the validation of the General Elections, that opened a new institutional cycle.
