Angola reaffirms commitment to SADC
Luanda, ANGOLA, June 25 - Angola on Monday reaffirmed its commitment to the Southern African Development Community (SADC), a regional economic integration organization based in Gaborone, Botswana.

Angola's position was expressed by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, at the opening ceremony of the 43rd Plenary Assembly of the SADC Parliamentary Forum (FP - SADC).
"I assure you that our country will remain firmly committed to a fully integrated and developed SADC," he said.
The head of state condemns attacks in Zimbabwe and Ethiopia
João Lourenço, who chairs the organization's Political Cooperation, Defense and Security Organ, highlighted the promotion of sustainable economic growth, good governance, lasting peace and security among SADC's objectives.
In order to achieve these goals, the Angolan Head of State defended greater commitment from parliamentarians who represent at least 300 million SADC inhabitants.
The forum is an instrument for promoting dialogue and cooperation among member states on socio-economic development.
The purpose of this forum is to contribute to the increase of economic prosperity as a community space and to help maintain the political stability of the region.
