Interior minister wants strict fight against crime

Luanda, ANGOLA, June 23 - The Ministry of the Interior's members are called to give a close combat to crime, especially violent, organized, cross-border and international crime, Interior minister, Angelo da Veiga Tavares, said Saturday.,

The Cabinet minister made this statement in a message that alluded to the Day of the Ministry of the Interior, which was marked on 22 June.

 In the letter, he also pointed out the fight against corruption, money laundering, cyber crime and all acts harmful to public order and tranquility, giving the strongest answers that at all times are more adjusted and in line with the criminological nature, with discipline and rigor.

He said that these actions will be carried out without renouncing respect for legality, dignity and human rights, especially with regard to women, children, the elderly and other vulnerable sensitivities of the population.

The Angolan Ministry of the Interior and the Angolan Government will continue to work to improve the social and working conditions of all the staff, especially those who, in the borders and other areas of the country, exemplarily fulfill their patriotic duty and undertake to do everything so that national citizens and foreigners who have chosen Angola as the preferred place to live, feel in peace, order and tranquility, read the letter.
