BROOKLYN, NY, UNITED STATES, June 20, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Shema Kolainu – Hear Our Voices, School and Center for Children with Autism, celebrated the students’ achievements for their end of the year graduation with a musical presentation. The ceremonies were held on Monday, June 11th for Preschool students and the following Monday, June 18th for the School Age students. The performances highlighted the student’s accomplishments both musically and academically for the 2017-2018 school year.

The classes were all ready for their special day as they have been preparing for this big moment for the past two months. All the students participated beautifully and successfully performed in front of their proud parents and family. Students celebrated with a musical performance by happily twirling streamers, shaking maracas, drumming on bongos along with the music being played. Some of the younger students sang songs along with motions while the older students had the opportunity to independently express and present their academic accomplishments over the school year. Dr. Joshua Weinstein, founder and CEO of Shema Kolainu, said a few words, recognizing the students’ great progress and thanking all the parents for giving their trust in SKHOV staff.  He continued thanking the teachers, therapists and staff for all their hard work and overall love and support for all the students.

After the performance, students along with their parents decorated a picture frame with different art materials to display their graduation picture. As the parents were leaving, they received a yearbook to keep as a memento of all the great work and progress their child has accomplished this school year. With the many activities and interactions held during this ceremony, parents expressed and recognized how much their child has learned and progressed under the care of all their teachers and therapists.

Shema Kolainu - Hear Our Voices, is a school and center for autism, an educational organization dedicated to the support and education of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and a leader in the field of special needs education.

The organization offers a series of Free Autism Workshops to families and educators located at Touro College in New York City on a monthly basis. The next workshop is on Tuesday, June 26th with Dina Ezagui, MS, CCC-SLP. The workshop will be regarding Pediatric Oral Motor and Feeding Therapy.
