Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis spoke with his Japanese counterpart, Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera today from the Pentagon to discuss the results of the U.S.-North Korea Summit.
The United States reaffirmed its ironclad defense commitments to Japan and its determination to maintain the readiness of its forces in the region. The two pledged to continue working closely together towards regional peace and stability.
