Luanda: National Police seize 35 firearms
Luanda, ANGOLA, June 13 - National Police detained 165 citizens for alleged involvement in various crimes and seized 31 firearms, under the three-day "Tiger Operation" from Friday in the country's capital, Luanda.

Of the 165 suspects arrested, two were for voluntary homicide, two attempted homicide, six rape, three assaults, 47 robbery, nine theft, seven illegal possession of firearms, and 14 selling narcotics.
The police also arrested nine citizens for disobedience, 44 for driving under the influence of alcohol, three for illegal driving, one for illegal possession of firearms and one for bribery, according to a note sent to Angop Wednesday.
The police operation also allowed the seizure of 27 vehicles, nine motorcycles, seven machetes, a knife and 360 portions of narcotic cannabis.
Operation Tigre began last May, in Luanda.
