Provincial courts reinforced with 37 judges

Luanda, ANGOLA, June 7 - The Supreme Court Chief Justice Rui Ferreira Thursday swore in 37 Law Judges to reinforce the courts in 17 provinces of the country. ,

 

The coastal province of Cuanza Sul gets the  largest chunk of Judicial Magistrates with six, followed by Benguela (five, one for  Lobito municipality).

 

Addressing the swearing ceremony, Rui Ferreira encouraged the new Judges in their mission of administering justice.

 

In the presence of the minister of Justice and Human Rights, Francisco Queiroz, the judge acknowledged the effort made by minister and his staff which enabled the appointment of judges.

 

With the exception of Zaire, the  provinces that benefitted from reinforcement are Benguela (4), Luanda (1), Lobito (1), Huambo (4), Malange (2), Huíla (1), Bengo (2), Cuanza Sul (6), Bié (1), Uíge (3), Namibe (1), Lunda Norte (2), Cabinda (2), Cuando Cubango (2), Cuanza Norte (1), Lunda Sul (1), Moxico (2) and Cunene (1).

 

The event was also attended by Presiding Judges of the Constitutional Court Manuel Aragão,  Audit Court Julião António, Attorney General Hélder Pita Grós, Magistrates, among other entities.
