Angola and Sweden strengthen bilateral cooperation
Stockholm, ANGOLA, May 30 - Angola and Sweden are to assess the existing cooperation between the two nations.,
For this end, a delegation headed by the Angolan foreign Affairs minister, Manuel Augusto, arrived early Wednesday morning in Stockholm.
During his stay, the Angolan diplomat is expected to meet with several Swedish officials such as the Foreign Affairs minister, Margot Wallstrom, the minister of Energy, Ibrahim Baylan, the director-general of the Swedish Institute, Anita Rembe and with Swedish anti-corruption authorities.
Sweden was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of Angola, since then, it has held strong cooperation bonds with this African country.
Among various projects, the Sweden Kingdom was responsible for the construction of the first Fishing Training Center of Angola (CEFOPESCA) and the electrification project of Dembos municipality in northern Bengo province.
The Angolan delegation is comprised by the directors Europe, Francisco da Cruz and the Judicial Office of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Bento Salazar André and top officials of this ministry.
