First second instance courts start functioning in 2019

Luanda, ANGOLA, May 25 - Two out of the intended five second instance courts will start functioning in the beginning of the year 2019, namely in the provinces of Luanda and Benguela. ,

The information was released last Thursday by the minister of Justice and Human Rights, Francisco Queiroz, when speaking to the press on the fringes of the 13th Broad Consultative Council of the sector, scheduled to end this Friday.

 

The inauguration and functioning of such appellate courts is intended to reduce the pressure on the Supreme Court and it will happen as a result of the ongoing programme dubbed Reform of the Justice and Law taking place in Angola.

 

Thus, the minister defended that there must be a better management of the career of justice officials.
