Diplomat highlights continental integration

Luanda, ANGOLA, May 25 - The career ambassador Vicente Muanda last Thursday pointed out regional integration, development of the private sector and public partnerships as pillars in the implementation of the Agenda 2018-2063, adopted by the African Union (AU). ,

The mentioned agenda is a long term vision of the African Union which has been focusing on the continental integration process.

 

To the diplomat – who was speaking to Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) senior officers, at a lecture in the ambit of the 25 May celebrations (Africa Day) – it is fundamental for the continent to strive for inclusive growth.   

 

Vicente Muanda went on to say that the continent has to broaden its growth base and have into account aspects like sustainable development, political integration based on Pan-Africanism and African renaissance.  

 

On his turn, the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) Deputy Chief, Geraldo Abreu Muhengo, explained that Africa is a continent that is “blessed” and “cursed” at the same time because of its natural resources. 

 

Vicente Muanda commended the lecturer for the “important tools” he provided for a better understanding of the continent’s problems and the ways to bring about human development in accordance with the millennium goals.
