Cooperation with Angola is based on respect and reciprocity

Luanda, ANGOLA, May 24 - Angola will continue to strive for cooperation and friendship with all the peoples of the world, based on respect and reciprocity of advantages, Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto said Wednesday in Luanda.,

Speaking at the Eighth Meeting of Ambassadors, which Luanda hosts until Friday, in an initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Manuel Augusto said that Angolan diplomacy is focused on concrete actions, giving examples of some agreements recently signed with neighboring countries.

According to the official, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been adapting to correspond with the interests of Angola in the international arena.

During the meeting, led by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, eight ambassadors who are to retire is year of 2018 will be awarded with diplomas of merit.

Also on the first day, in the afternoon, the work of the VIII Meeting continued with the 2nd panel on Finance and Inspection - in an institutional and academic perspective.

 Thursday will be the 3rd, 4th and 5th panels of debate under the themes: "Foreign Policy of Angola"; "Economic Diplomacy", "Immigration and Security" The Eighth Meeting of Ambassadors ends on Friday, 25 May.

 Head of 59 diplomatic missions representing Angola in America, Europe, Asia and Africa are attending the meeting.
