Luanda, ANGOLA, May 24 - The Angolan President, Joao Lourenco, received a message from his Vietnamese counterpart, Tran Dai Quang, in which the Asian statesman stresses the solidity of the friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries for more than forty years. ,

In the letter, the President of Vietnam requests that the Angolan Head of State supports diplomatic efforts by Vietnam to become a Non-Permanent Member of the United Nations Security Council for the period 2020/2021.

 

According to the press release that ANGOP had access on Wednesday, in the message the President of Vietnam expresses his thanks to Angola and President Joao Lourenco for the policy of coordination with the Vietnamese authorities in regional and international fora.

 

On the other hand, the leader of Vietnam thanks the Angolan state and peoples for helping and facilitating the Vietnamese community living and working in Angola.

 

According to the note, the President of Vietnam wishes his compatriots established in Angola to make a firm contribution to the socio-economic development of the host country and become a bridge of friendship between the two peoples.
