Angolan government approves statute for education agents
Luanda, ANGOLA, May 22 - The new statute of the career of Education agents, a legal tool that regulates the career of professionals in the sector, was approved Monday in Luanda by the Cabinet Council, in a session led by the President of the Republic, Joao Lourenco.

The said statute regulates the career of the kindergarten teacher, educational action assistant, primary and secondary school teachers, pedagogical technician and education administration specialists.
The aim is to adjust the careers and categories to the new structure of the general education, vocational technical, adult education, secondary education and differentiated modes of education subsystems, as well as to improve the profile of each category and the requirements of provision
At the end of the session, the Secretary of State for Education, Jesus Joaquim Baptista, informed that the new statute also covers specific and clear rules on the public tender for admission into the sector.
According to him, the document also includes the rules on the collaboration of teachers, to avoid the double link in the sector, to cause negative effects on the quality of education in the country, as well as a point to determine the responsibility of the teacher in the fight against corruption in educational institutions.
