Over 500 people killed in road accident
Luanda, ANGOLA, May 8 - At least 549 people have been killed and 2,654 injured following 2,452 road accidents occurred across the country in the first quarter of 2018.

This information was released Tuesday in Luanda by the national director of Road Traffic, Conceição Gomes.
Conceição Gomes released the figure at the end of the first ordinary session of the Executive Committee of the National Council of Traffic and Road Planning, chaired by the General Commander of National Police, Alfredo Eduardo Manuel Mingas "Panda".
He mentioned 955 road accidents, 534 car crash and 210 collisions between motorcycles and cars, sa having happened in above period.
The senior officer pointed out speed up, driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotic substances, among various factors, as having contributed to the accidents.
The meeting discussed the adaptation of the driving license for its internationalisation.
The participants also analysed the basic study and development of a monitoring and evaluation of tripartite transport plan.
