Beaconsfield Joins the Smart Cities Challenge

BEACONSFIELD, Quebec, April 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The City of Beaconsfield is pleased to announce that it will join the municipalities of Brossard, Châteauguay, Delson, Saint-Basile-le-Grand, Sainte-Catherine, St-Constant, Saint-Lambert, and with the collaboration of B-CITI, to submit a joint application in the Smart Cities Challenge, a program launched by the federal government in November 2017.

This project requires the participation of citizens, businesses and organizations and asks that they submit issues and ideas on how to meet the challenges or problems facing our communities using a smart city approach. Beaconsfield residents are invited to participate in a short survey online available at collectiveideas.ca/form.

"Beaconsfield is the first city on the Island of Montreal to join this group of cities in a project in conjunction with B-CITI. We are proud to unite with this innovative project which aims to improve the quality of life of citizens and to foster community interaction," said Mayor Georges Bourelle.
