United Scientific Group to host 4th Neurological Disorders Summit in Los Angeles

NDS-2018 will take place in Los Angeles on July 23-25 featuring experts from 20 countries across the globe working on various aspects of neurological disorders.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, April 3, 2018 / -- United Scientific Group (USG) is well poised to organize the fourth edition of Neurological Disorders Summit (NDS-2018) on July 23-25, 2018 at Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles International Airport Hotel, Los Angeles, CA.

USG will gather the world’s leading innovators and researchers to discuss the latest technology transfer models and preclinical research on various neurological disorders, respectively. Howard J. Federoff (University of California Irvine, CA) is Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and CEO of UC Irvine Health. He investigates gene therapy and neurodegenerative diseases. He has published more than 250 articles and serves on the editorial boards of five journals. He chaired the NIH recombinant DNA advisory committee and the gene therapy resource program for NHLBI and serves as the President of American Society for Experimental Neurotherapeutics.

Harish C. Pant (NIH/NINDS, MD) is chief of the section on Cytoskeleton Regulation at NINDS.

John M. Baumann (University of Louisville, KY) inspires and helps real people to live their lives to the fullest, and even embrace their life-changing event, with the goal of uncovering their life’s purpose ( He is an internationally-recognized inspiring success speaker. In 2002, at 41 years old, working as the top attorney for a public company, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He wrote a book entitled, “Decide Success - You Dead Yet".

Stephen Grossberg (Boston University, MA) is a cognitive scientist, theoretical and computational psychologist, neuroscientist, mathematician, biomedical engineer, and neuromorphic technologist. He is the Wang Professor of Cognitive and Neural Systems at Boston University. He is the author of total seventeen books and has seven patents.

Igor Elman (Wright State University, OH) is professor and chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. He came to Wright State from Harvard Medical School (HMS), where he served as associate professor of psychiatry.

Rajendra Badgaiyan (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY) is a professor at Department of Psychiatry, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, NY. He completed his residency training in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He conducted pioneering research in neuroimaging and developed the single scan dynamic molecular imaging technique, which allows detection of dopamine release in the live human brain during task performance.

Warren W. Boling (Loma Linda University, CA) is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Loma Linda University. He has have developed and investigated novel techniques and instruments for the treatment of epilepsy including PET ligands, topographical detail of human neuro-anatomy that led to the identification of anatomico-functional relationships in the human brain, and other novel devices and techniques that have improved the ability to treat and diagnose neurological diseases, including developing unique models for the treatment of intractable epilepsy in low-resource regions of the world.

Richard Kopke (Hough Ear Institute, OK) is the CEO of Hough Ear Institute. In 2004, he retired after serving 26 years in the U.S. Army. During that time, he built an international reputation as an expert in the field of inner ear medicine. He also received one of our country’s highest rewards, the Legion of Merit. In 2011, he co-founded Otologic Pharmaceutics, Inc. and currently serves as their Chief Medical Officer.
