Candidates who pass a written examination and a project assignment will be CONA certified. All attendees who complete all course requirements receive an Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Continuing Education Units (CECs) certificate.

CONA is an intermediate level course in which attendees learn the fundamentals of optical networking including the transmission of light through optical fiber, optical transmission components and modules and widely deployed commercial optical networking systems.
