Logistical system importance highlighted

Saurimo, ANGOLA, March 16 - Logistics is a very important sector that conditions the stability and harmonious activity of military effectives, said last Thursday in Saurimo City, eastern Lunda Sul Province, lieutenant-general Carlos Manuel Martins Xavier de Pina, who is linked to the Logistics Department of the National Air Force (FAN). ,

The lieutenant-general made such statement at the opening of the 6th methodological assessment meeting of logistics specialists of the FAN, having stressed that there must be management capacity in the execution of programmes.    

 

He underscored that the meeting was aimed at reiterating the need for correct management of material resources.

 

“The FAN must continue to be firm and stimulate the internal capacities with a view to overcoming the crisis and keep moving forward with the winds of modernisation”, he stressed.

 

For two days, the meeting will debate topics like “Supply of logistical means to the troops”, “Degrees of satisfying the need of military units” and “Assessment of last year’s activities” among others.

 

The event is happening under the motto “Let us continue to improve the methods of managing logistical means to elevate the living standard of the troops”.
