Armed forces re-equipping among this year's main challenges

Ambriz, ANGOLA, March 2 - Re-equipping and modernizing the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) to secure the combative and readiness levels and ensure the accomplishment of its missions were among the main challenges of the army for this year of 2018.,

This was said Thursday in Ambriz municipality, northern Bengo province by the Secretary of State for Politic of National Defense, Gaspar Rufino, while addressing the opening ceremony of the 2018/2019 operative, combative and educative-patriotic preparation year.

Gaspar Rufino stressed that in the present year, there are very complex challenges in the most diverse areas, since "the financial and economic situation we are experiencing may have repercussions on the tasks and missions attributed".

The ceremony, held under the motto "Combatant preparation the key to victory" was attended by the governor of Bengo, Mara Baptista Quiosa, and high ranking officials from the three branches of the Angolan armed forces.

The School of Marine Corps, where the activities took place is located in the municipality of Ambriz, 127 km from the city of Caxito, capital of Bengo province is one of the main references in the field of FAA staff’s training.
