Angola gets information regarding Lesotho situation

Luanda, ANGOLA, March 1 - The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, last Wednesday received information about the progresses being made in regard to the situation in the Kingdom of Lesotho, following the assassination last September of that country's Army chief. ,

 

The information on the situation were given by the executive secretary of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), Stergomena Lawrence Tax, in the ambit of SADC’s peace mission to Lesotho.   

 

In the end of the meeting, Stergomena Lawrence Tax told the press that the Angolan Head of State manifested the intention to continue to support the stabilisation process in the Kingdom of Lesotho.

 

Another topic that was analysed during the meeting was the preparation of the elections in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, scheduled for 23 December this year.   

 

Angola, Lesotho and the DR Congo are SADC members.
