Cunene: MPLA party MPs consolidate ethical, juridical values
Ondjiva, ANGOLA, March 1 - The general secretary of the ruling MPLA, António Paulo Kassoma, has recently appealed to the MPs of his party to strengthen and consolidate the understanding of juridical principles and ethico-moral values, aiming for the defence of the interests of citizens and the party. ,
Speaking at the Parliamentary Events of the MPLA, in the southern Cunene Province, Paulo Kassoma highlighted the role of the party as a vehicle of political and social responsibility that plays a role in solving the problems of the people.
“The concept of strategic positioning and the taking of decisions in the operative level demand from the management organs of the party and its structures a great capacity of adaptation to the dynamics of social, political and economic changes”, said the politician.
He went on to say that the Parliamentary Events of the MPLA is intended to upgrade and improve the knowledge and potential of its MPs, so that they can also have a much better performance in the National Assembly (Parliament).
The gathering has been analysing topics like the party’s plan of activities, 2018 political agenda, the Constitution of the Republic, regulation of the National Assembly, Status of MPs, Ethical Code and Parliamentary Decorum, party’s statute and the Draft Law on the Repatriation of Financial Funds Domiciled Abroad.
The Parliamentary Events of the MPLA are running from 25 February to 01 March under the motto “The MPLA MPs and their positioning in the National Assembly and the Society”.
