Angola attends UN Human Rights Council
Luanda, ANGOLA, February 26 - Angola is since Monday attending the 37th session of the UN Human Rights Council taking place in Geneva, Switzerland, with a delegation headed by the Foreign Affairs minister, Manuel Augusto. ,
According to a press note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that reached Angop on Sunday, the Angolan top diplomat is expected to address a panel entitled “In the segment of high level” of the event as well as in the high-level panel on the Universal Periodic Review of this Session of the UN Human Rights Council.
The Angolan delegation is made up by the Secretary of State of Human Rights and Citizenship, Ana Celeste Januário, Miguel Bembe, consultant of Foreign Affairs Office and Makiesse Kinkela expert of the Directorate of Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Angola was elected member of the UN Human Rights Council in October 2007 for the 2018/2020 term.
