Tackling the Eating Together Challenge

We know families appreciate the benefits of eating together—71 percent of parents say that ideally, they would like to eat dinner with their children every single night. Unfortunately, families succeed only half the time. Why do families fail at having meals together, even though they want to?

The FMI Foundation created National Family Meals Month™, an industry-wide movement to encourage families to share one more meal at home together each week. There are lots of ways to showcase family meal solutions, but what really changes behavior and knocks down barriers?  Liz Weiss, MS, RDN has been on a mission for over 20 years to develop and share solutions that help families eat together. As a mom of two, she has first-hand experience in how to answer the questions we hear from shopper including: How can I make a family meal that satisfies an array of tastes? How to I get my busy family to all sit down to eat together? What’s for dinner tonight?
