Angola, Cape Verde envisage strengthening cooperation

Luanda, ANGOLA, February 6 - Angola and Cape Verde, two countries of the Portuguese-speaking community, are preparing actions to strengthen and diversify bilateral relations in various areas, Angolan Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto said Tuesday in Luanda. ,

 

The minister, who was speaking during the official talks between delegations of the two countries that took place at the Foreign Affairs Ministry, said that the presence of the Cabo Verdean delegation in the country reflects the

common will to increase existing relations.

The efforts should be focused on the aspects in which each country can contribute to the emerging of reciprocal advantages.

Manuel Augusto mentioned some 40 legal instruments as having been initialed at bilateral level.

 

He referred, among others, to agreements, conventions and memorandums.

 

According to the Angolan official, these instruments need to be reviewed in order to ensure their timeliness

and effectiveness.
