President Lourenço who was speaking in the central act of opening the 2018 academic year, reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to the training of staff, particularly teachers, as they are the personality trainers of future generations.

João Lourenço emphasized that well educated, treated with dignity and with a fair remuneration, the teachers will be in better conditions to teach.

Among the essential conditions for teachers to exercise their job with dignity, the Head of State said that it is necessary to make available the necessary resources so that they can often update their knowledge.

The President also said that combating the vandalism of school infrastructure placed at the disposal of communities should involve all citizens.

During his stay in Namibe, João Lourenço visited the polo of educational development of Praia Amelia and a factory of polishing of marble and granite.

The president's working agenda in Namibe, included the visit to the fishing municipality of Tômbwa Wednesday, 93 kilometers from the city of Moçâmedes.

On the same day, the Head of State visited the Ngola Kimbanda Hospital, the Fisheries Academy and held meetings with officials of the provincial government and the Catholic and Methodist churches in the region.
