Govt shows flexibility to increase budgetary allocation for social sector
Moçâmedes, ANGOLA, February 1 - The Angolan Executive has shown flexibility to increase the budgetary allocation for the social sector, with highlight on the areas of education and health. ,
This information was given on Thursday, in the south-western Namibe Province, by the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, when delivering the speech at that opening ofthe 2018/2019 Academic Term.
President João Lourenço stressed that the government officials that are attending the discussions in the National Assembly (Parliament) for the approval of the 2018 State’s General Budget have been working to influence an increase of the budgetary allocation for the sectors of education and health.
The 2018 Budget Draft, yet to be approved, estimates revenues of 9.6 trillion kwanzas and sets expenses at the same amount.
