Cuanza Sul : Over 4.000 fire weapons turned in

Sumbe, ANGOLA, January 27 - At least 4,512 fire weapons of varied kind have been turned in by citizens of the central Cuanza Sul province as part of the civilian disarming process being held in that region. ,

The information was disclosed by the local National Police spokesperson, Intendant, Mateus Balato, adding that the referred weapons were turned in during the period corresponding to March 2008 to January 24 of 2018.

The weapons comprised of 2,337 gun magazines, 32.402 ammunitions, 303 projectiles and a cartridge, 2.502 fire weapons, 79 grenades and  9 landmines

The spokesperson also urged citizens to denounce those, who grudgingly remain in possession of illegal arms.
