Society welcomes Parliament's openness

Luanda, ANGOLA, January 19 - Luanda's citizens welcomed Thursday the initiative to return the full broadcasting of Parliament's work sessions by the media. For more than a decade, parliamentary activity was only partially broadcast.,

The opening session was marked by presence of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, and was discussed and voted, in generality, the opinion of the General 2018 State Budget.

This is the best way to evaluate the performance of our representatives in the House of Laws, said Professor Osvaldo Costa, questioned by Angop to the matter.

On the other hand, Andrade Brás considered the initiative a sign of transparent and normal governance in democratic and legal states.

Andrade Brás hopes that the broadcasts of Parliament's sessions will remain in the interest of the Nation.

In the perspective of Hilton Manuel, another interlocutor questioned by Angop, said that this is an exercise that will bring the MPs closer to the citizens.

The measure, according to César da Silva, another citizen who spoke on the issue, meets the requests of voters and brings greater transparency in the action that the Members develop during the work sessions.
