Armed Forces get over 500 new officers

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 27 - The Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) managed to train, in the year 2017, over 550 new officers in different higher schools of military training in the country and abroad.,

This was announced last Tuesday, in Luanda, by the FAA Chief of Staff, Gen. Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda, during the yearend greetings ceremony with high ranking military staffs.   

 

Throughout the present year, disclosed the general-officer, about 287 officers who were studying abroad returned to the country with a higher education training, including post-graduation and PhD courses.

 

The other FAA troops returned to the country with university degrees in different areas, such as Military Sciences and Medicine.   

 

Geraldo Sachipengo Nunda also informed that this year the FAA received the first aircrafts of the SU30 type, the Agusta Westland helicopter and the anti-aircraft warfare system.

 

He also deemed it necessary to improve the criteria of recruiting soldiers, since they must join the Armed Forces with a clean record and a sound mind, who abide by the principles of honesty, ethics and morality.
