Central African Republic wants support from Angola
Luanda, ANGOLA, December 20 - The Central African Republic (CAR) has requested Angola's support for its candidacy for the post of secretary-general of the Parliamentary Forum of the Great Lakes Region, to be decided next March.

The support was requested by the fourth Vice Speaker of CAR parliament, Gina Michèle Sanze, who held on Tuesday a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
CAR must present the candidacy in the city of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) during the parliamentary forum of the region.
Gina Michèle Sanze said that her country is interested to benefit from Angola's experience of reconciliation and national unity.
CAR is in a process of national reconciliation, hence the experience of Angola, which has undergone a similar process, is essential, she said.
In the framework of parliamentary cooperation, she emphasized that the two countries have common initiatives in this domain.
Since Monday in Luanda, Gina Michèle Sanze is expected to end her working visit to Angola on Wednesday.
Angola and CAR signed a General Cooperation Agreement in October 2016, which is the basis of the partnership between the two States.
As a result of this agreement, the two countries cooperate in the fields of training, education, economy, transport, mines, agriculture and the armed forces.
