2018 Budget reaches National Assembly for approval

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 15 - The General State Budget (OGE) for 2018, with revenues and expenditure estimated at AKZ 9.6 trillion, reached Friday the National Assembly for debate and approval by MPs until February 15, 2018. ,

 

Made the formal delivery of the Budget was Minister of State for Economic and Social Development, Manuel Nunes  Júnior, to the Parliament Speaker Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.

 

The 2018 Draft Budget was discussed on December 8 this year at Cabinet Council meeting, chaired by the head of State, João Lourenço.

 

"We have fulfilled the legal deadline. Now the document will go through the subsequent stages until its final approval by Parliament in February 2018,"  Manuel Nunes Júnior told the press.

 

The official added that in this budget the Government presented an adequate deficit to decrease debt needs and ensure debt sustainability and economic growth.

 

He said that priority goes to the areas that ensure economic development in order to address issues in the sectors of  education, health and basic sanitation.

 

2017 Budget comprise revenues estimated at Akz 7.3 trillion.
