MPLA must lead fight against corruption
Luanda, ANGOLA, December 11 - MPLA president José Eduardo dos Santos said Monday in Luanda that his party should lead the fight against corruption and nepotism, evils that may tarnish the image of the Angolan State, government and society, and the political force that rules the country.,
José Eduardo dos Santos was speaking at the "training seminar on the prevention of the types of crimes to which the holders of public office are subject, organized by the parliamentary group of this political force, under the motto" MPLA and the challenges to corruption".
For the party leader, the MPLA should position him on the front line to build a more just, supportive and inclusive society.
He defended the dissemination of laws and measures existing or necessary to prevent, in a pedagogical way, crimes that threaten public probity, whose combat is on the agenda of modern societies.
The MPLA leader recalled that corruption has already been defined as the second major evil affecting society after the war, taking into account the excesses practiced by public and private agents, who illegally obtained patrimonial advantages for themselves or for third parties, to the detriment of the good common law, transgressing the law and the norm of social behavior.
