Police commander calls for restructuring process in sector

Luanda, ANGOLA, December 5 - The 2nd Commander of National Police (PN) Paulo de Almeida has called for urgent restructuring of the corporation with a view to adapting to the ongoing progress in the sector. ,

 

The high ranking police officer listed the technological and scientific advances in the sector.

 

Paulo de Almeida was speaking at the opening of the First Course on Inspection Techniques held Tuesday in Luanda.

 

Addressing the representatives of the country's 18 provinces, the Police Commander said that crime invaded the structural fabrics of the society.

 

In order to counter this reality, he said, it is crucial for the country to have strong inspection and control structures, with monitoring, intervention and pedagogical capacity.

 

To Paulo de Almeida, the inspection should not  work as a mere repressive, sanctioning organ, but as an instrument of command.

 

The four-day course is discussing subjects on legal, psycho-social training, investigation and inspection, police instruction, as well as physical education and sport.
