CPLP must create mechanism for Angolans' mobility in region

Lisbon, ANGOLA, December 4 - The chairman of the Angolan National Youth Council (CNJ),Tigão Mateus, Saturday in Lisbon defended the need for the diplomatic mission of the Portuguese Speaking Countries Community (CPLP) to continue creating mechanisms that allow the mobility of youths, mainly Angolans, in the member states. ,

Speaking to Angop after having attended the CPLP Youth Forum, the youth leader said the subject of young people’s mobility would be sorted out the CPLP countries had instituted the status of CPLP citizens in this region.  

 

According to him, for the resolution of this issue it would be important the consolidation in the coming times, of a Heads of State or Cabinet Council meeting with aid of the forum for them to outline matters to be discussed.

 

Those issues, he added, would integrate the institutionalization and implementation of CPLP citizens’ status.  

 

To Tigão Mateus, the said process would culminated with attribution of a passport that allowed any CPLP citizen to freely move in the region.

 

The CPLP Youth Forum is made up by Portugal, Brazil, Angola, Cabo-verde, Mozambique, Guinea-Bissau, East Timor  and Sao-Tome and  Principe.
