Monitoring of illegal diamonds prospecting strengthened

Dundo, ANGOLA, November 9 - The actions of monitoring illegal immigration and prospecting of diamonds in the north-eastern Lunda Norte Province will be strengthened, announced last Tuesday, in Dundo City, the provincial governor, Ernesto Muangala. ,

 

The governor said so at an ordinary session of the Lunda Norte government, having considered worrying the situations of illegal immigration and illegal diamonds prospecting, considering the big damages being caused to the national economy.   

 

He went on to explain that illegal prospecting and trafficking of diamonds have been encouraged by many foreign citizens who are in Angola as refugees or in political asylum.

 

Ernesto Muangala called on the whole population to denounce such illegal activities to help improve the province’s economic situation.

 

During the mentioned ordinary session of the Lunda Norte government, the participants were reminded of the content of the Law on Public Probity, the need for public institution officials to officially make a declaration of personal assets, among other very pertinent issues.
