Zaire: CASA-CE coalition willing to support governmental actions
Soyo, ANGOLA, November 6 - The president of the CASA-CE coalition, Abel Chivukuvuku, last Sunday in Soyo City, northern Zaire Province, reaffirmed the willingness of his political organisation to continue collaborating with the Angolan Executive, including making concrete suggestions aimed to improve the living conditions of the population.
,
Speaking to journalists in the end of a 72-hour visit to Soyo City, Abel Chivukuvuku said that his visit served to explain to the members of CASA-CE in this region the new posture of the coalition, which revolves around three pillars.
The first pillar, he explained, is to make the coalition continue to be a “loyal opposition”, that is, one that “applauds the positive actions of the Executive to the benefit of the citizens, criticising what is bad and suggesting alternatives”.
The second one has to do with the reinforcement of the supervision by the National Assembly (Angolan Parliament) – where CASA-CE is now represented by sixteen MPs - over the governance action, with a view to contributing to the improvement of people’s living standards.
According to the politician, the third pillar of the organisation is related to the availability of the coalition to work with the Executive for the finding of viable solutions that bring about well-being for the citizens.
During his stay in Soyo, Abel Chivukuvuku held separate meetings with CASA-CE militants, chieftains and religious authorities, as well as with members of the municipal administration.
