Angola backs unified state in Spain
Luanda, ANGOLA, October 31 - Angolan Government does not recognise the unilateral proclamation of independence by the Autonomous Region of Catalonia held on October 27th, and defends the preservation of unified state of Spain.

Angola's clear stance is contained in its communiqué reached Angop on Tuesday.
According to the document, Angola appeals to the Spanish Government and the European Union, their democratic institutions, to find the best ways to restore the constitutional order and the rights of all Spanish citizens, based on dialogue.
Angola and Spain’s diplomatic relations go back to 1976.
Both countries have developed a dynamic and mutually advantageous cooperation in various fields, which we intend to preserve, said the document.
