National Police reinforce border checkpoints in Belize
Cabinda, ANGOLA, October 27 - Border checkpoints with the Republics of Congo and Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), in the Angolan municipality of Belize (Cabinda), will receive more police forces and technical means to counter attempts of cross border violations by citizens of these neighboring countries.

The commander-general of the National Police (PN), Ambrósio de Lemos, said Thursday that this measure is expected to reduce the number of citizens from neighboring countries who daily try illegally enter the country.
The police chief, who met with the traditional, religious and administrative authorities in Belize, advocated a closer rapprochement with "local power" with a view to adopting joint measures against border crime and illegal immigration.
Since Wednesday in Cabinda, the Police commander-general also visited the sub stations of the Border Police in the commune of Massabi (Cacongo).
