Angola: Ruling party reviews preliminary drafts activity for 2018

Luanda, ANGOLA, October 20 - The ruling MPLA party's Politburo analysed Friday the Preliminary Draft General Plan of the Activities for 2018 and its implementation schedule. ,

 

This was during a 6th Ordinary Meeting chaired by the party's leader, José Eduardo dos Santos.

 

According to a press communiqué reached Angop at the end of the meeting, the party's Politburo also analysed the Event Plan and the 2018 Draft Budget.

 

As regards the functioning of the party,  MPLA discussed the adjustments to the Rules of Organisation and Functioning of the Discipline and Audit Committees, as well as the Rules for Instruction of Partisan Processes and the Application of Party Sanctions.

 

The participants also reviewed a Memorandum on Provincial Extraordinary Conferences of MPLA.

 

The party also discussed information on the election of a member for its completion, and approved the agenda of the 4th Ordinary Session of the Central Committee, set for 23rd of this month.

 

The Politburo expressed deep dismay at the deaths of seven people, following plane crash occurred in the eastern Lunda Norte province.

 

MPLA also welcomed the Angolan delegation attending the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi, Russia, which takes to the world the image of an Angola of peace and democracy.

 

Finally, the ruling party extolled the tribute paid to the Founder of the Nation, António Agostinho Neto and the Architect of Peace, José Eduardo dos Santos, in recognition of

their contribution in Angola and the southern region of Africa.
