CPI: putting civilians and veterans to work for more than 35 years

CPI receives number two ranking out of 100 on 2017 Crain's Cool Places to Work Michigan list.

WATERFORD , MICHIGAN, USE, September 6, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Contract Professional, Inc. (CPI), one of the nation’s leading SDVOSB and NVBDC certified service disabled veteran owned technical solutions companies, has been ranked number two out of 100 on 2017 Crain’s Cool Places to Work Michigan list.

This is the second time in a row that CPI has made the list, ranking number seven out of the 75 companies that were named on the 2016 Cool Places to Work Michigan list.

The genesis of the Michigan Cool Places program is about recognizing a diverse group of Michigan companies, all of whom are making an effort to attract and retain top talent by providing competitive benefits and company perks.

“Because we put veterans to work everyday, we already think that CPI is pretty cool,” said Jay Vorobel, Vice President, Eastern Region, CPI. “But we do strive to give our employees a progressive work environment where they can thrive and grow.”

CPI employee perks include, but are not limited to a employee meditation room, a paid day off to receive a yearly health physical, access to a medical doctor who specializes in health and nutrition, Bocce Ball events on the front lawn of the corporate office and flex schedules for all employees based around putting family first.

When Steve York, Founder and CEO of CPI started CPI more than 35 years ago, he did so with the intent to build a successful business around his core values, which included treating his employees like family.

“We are honored to be ranked number two on Crain’s Cool Places to Work list. It’s a testament to the values and vision of Mr. York," said Jim Cowper, President, CPI.

The entire CPI team lives by the corporate mission to be the premier source of technical professionals serving major and emerging industries. The CPI management team also stresses the importance of fostering a healthy work environment and allowing employees to focus on the things and people that matter most.

“CPI will continue to develop and implement employee programs, which make our employees, clients and community members proud,” said Cowper.
