IRVINE, Calif., July 11, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lantronix, Inc. (NASDAQ:LTRX), a global provider of secure data access and management solutions for the industrial Internet of Things (IoT), today announced that it filed a patent infringement lawsuit on July 7, 2017, in the Southern Division of the Central District of California against Jinan USR IOT Technology, Limited.

The complaint alleges that the defendant’s SuperPort Products, including the USR-K1, USR-K2, and USR-K3, infringe patents covering Lantronix’s XPort® family of embedded device servers with serial-to-Ethernet conversion ports. 

The Lantronix XPort family of embedded device servers with serial-to-Ethernet conversion ports provide a compact, integrated solution to web-enable virtually any device with serial capability. By incorporating XPort to a product design, manufacturers can quickly and easily offer serial to Ethernet networking capability as a standard feature — so equipment can be accessed and controlled over the Internet. XPort removes the complexity of designing network connectivity into a product by incorporating all of the required hardware and software inside a single embedded solution.
