The annual Global Patients’ Choice Awards have been announced, with dental clinics based in Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam in the top-40.

This honour has been awarded to outstanding dental clinics that have received extraordinary praise and recognition from Dental Departures’ patients.

Dental Departures operates a leading online dental-booking website that helps patients from Australia, New Zealand and Asia save up to 70 per cent on their dental care. To be included in the Dental Departures network, partner clinics must adhere to the highest-quality standards and certifications. They range in size from single-chair boutique clinics to multi-storey dental care complexes with multiple treatment rooms, on-site laboratories and pharmacies.

Patients are encouraged to rate their clinics after receiving treatment through Dental Departures’ network. To qualify for Dental Departures Global Patients’ Choice Awards, clinics must maintain an average overall rating of four or more stars (out of five). Thousands of patients book dental care through dental departures each year, and in order to be considered for the awards, each clinic must have received a number of ratings above a set threshold during the time under consideration.

Seventeen of the top-40 dental clinics were based in Asia this year, with Thailand dominating the list of regional contenders. In all, nine winning clinics were located in Thailand at either Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket. Another four hailed from Bali, Indonesia – with three from the Philippines and one from Vietnam.
