Results of the annual Global Patients’ Choice Awards have been announced, with dental clinics based in Mexico dominating the top-20.

BANGKOK, THAILAND, February 1, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ -- (Dental Departures) – Dental Departures (a subsidiary of Medical Departures) has announced the winners of the Global Patients’ Choice Awards (2017). This honor has been awarded to outstanding dental clinics that have received extraordinary praise and recognition from Dental Departures’ patients.

Dental Departures operates a leading online dental-booking website that helps patients from the U.S. and Canada save up to 70 percent on their dental care. Clinics in the Dental Departures network must adhere to the highest-quality standards and certifications. They range in size from single-chair boutique clinics to multi-storey dental care complexes with multiple treatment rooms, onsite laboratories and pharmacies.

Patients are encouraged to rate their clinics after receiving treatment through Dental Departures’ network. To qualify for Dental Departures Global Patients’ Choice Awards, clinics must maintain an average overall rating of four or more stars (out of five). Thousands of patients book dental care through Dental Departures each year, and in order to be considered, each clinic must have received a number of ratings above a set threshold during the time under consideration.

Clinics based in Mexico and Central America dominated the 2017 awards, with 14 of the top-20 clinics hailing from Mexico. Another four of the top-20 were from Costa Rica. In all, 44 dental clinics were honored, with other winners located in Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam.
