VFW Post 1093 And VetToCEO Announce Veterans Entrepreneurship Training Pilot Program

Ipswich, MA VFW Post launches innovative pilot to demonstrate scalability of veterans entrepreneurship training

IPSWICH, MA, USA, December 2, 2016 /EINPresswire.com/ -- VFW Post 1093 and VetToCEO.org announced today the launch of a national pilot program for scalable veterans entrepreneurship training.

"National Entrepreneurs Day and Global Entrepreneurship Week provide the perfect context to announce this pilot," commented Ed Marsh, serial entrepreneur and Commander of VFW Post 1093. "There's widespread recognition of entrepreneurship in creating dynamic economic growth. Veterans bring an extraordinary skill set to entrepreneurial ventures – a scalable training program has the potential for enormous positive impact on the economy, the success of transitioning veterans and the challenge of veterans unemployment."

VetToCEO is a Georgia based non-profit which offers a proven distributed learning program which has helped hundreds of veterans plan their entrepreneurial businesses. The core program is a 7 week series of modules on sales, marketing, finance, and operations topics. Delivered in the 5-paragraph operations order format which is familiar to transitioning veterans, each module incorporates inspirational guest speakers and background preparation materials. Participants develop a robust business canvas with a focus on practical, viable, and fundable plans.

VetToCEO Executive Director and former Navy SEAL Monte Heath notes, "Existing veterans entrepreneurship training programs are either geographically constrained or omit the personal interaction that’s critical to building dynamic business plans. This pilot will demonstrate a scalable model through which our proven curriculum can be dynamically delivered in person in veterans clubs around the country."

Whether they're considering a start-up, franchise or acquisition of an existing business, transitioning veterans as well as National Guard and Reserve Component service members bring many management and leadership attributes necessary for success. VetToCEO gives them the business tools necessary to evaluate their options, and undertake their business if that’s their decision.

Unlike other programs which send participants on their way upon completion of the program, VetToCEO incorporates partnerships with funding sources as well as options for ongoing mentorship. VFW Post 1093 anticipates that significant cash prizes will be available for participants who will compete for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place "quick start" awards.

"Veterans hire veterans. When a veteran starts a business that's a 'twofer'," says Michael Horn, Director and Co-Founder of VetToCEO. He continues "As more vets undertake entrepreneurial ventures, they contribute to a dynamic economy and create jobs for other veterans."
